Terms and Conditions for Taxi Booking Service (UK)

Welcome to JILIT (“we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our taxi booking services in the United Kingdom. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Definitions
- Customer: The individual or entity making the booking.
- Driver: The person assigned to carry out the transportation.
- Service: The provision of a vehicle and driver for the purpose of transporting the customer.
2. Booking
- All bookings must be made through our website, app, or authorised agents.
- You must provide accurate information including pickup and drop-off locations, time, and passenger count.
- We reserve the right to refuse a booking at our discretion.
3. Pricing and Payment
- Prices are quoted in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
- We may require prepayment for online bookings.
- Additional charges may apply for waiting time, extra stops, tolls, or late-night travel.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellations made more than 2 hours before the pickup time will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made less than 2 hours before the pickup may incur a fee.
- No refund will be given for cancellations made at or after the pickup time.
5. Responsibilities
- You are responsible for being on time at the pickup location.
- Drivers are expected to act professionally and follow road safety laws.
- You must not engage in illegal, disruptive, or abusive behaviour during the ride.
6. Luggage and Personal Items
- You are responsible for your belongings during the journey.
- We are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
- There are size and weight limitations on luggage, and excess may be refused.
7. Liability
- We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, or events beyond our control.
- Our total liability to you shall not exceed the value of the booking fee paid.
8. Complaints
- Complaints should be made in writing within 48 hours of the journey.
- We aim to respond to all complaints within 5 business days.
9. Data Protection
- We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
- Your data is used solely for the purpose of booking and delivering our services.
10. Governing Law
- These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
